DUI Risk Education Class and Treatment Services
Family Behavioral Health Clinic (FBHC) will help you once a DUI is received. We provide alcohol, substance abuse treatment classes and counseling that is designed to satisfy the Secretary of State and court ordered treatment requirements. We offer evaluations, classes, counseling and will liaison with your attorney and other court or state representatives to provide status on your treatment plan. DUI services are available in English, Spanish and Polish.
Once a DUI evaluation is completed, you will need to obtain class/treatment based upon the level indicated in your evaluation:

To complete state requirements, you must attend DUI Risk Education Classes divided into at least four sessions.

Illinois DUI Risk Education topics include:
- Information on alcohol as a drug
- Physiological and pharmacological effects of alcohol and other drugs, including their residual impairment on normal levels of driving performance
- Other drugs, legal and illegal, and their effects on driving when used separately and/or in combination with alcohol
- Substance abuse/dependence and the effect on individuals and families
- Blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level and its effect on driving performance
- Information about Illinois driving under the influence laws and associated penalties
- Factors that influence the formation of patterns of alcohol and drug abuse
After the successful conclusion of the class, counseling and continuing care are scheduled.
Prior to attending a class or beginning treatment, the following paperwork must be sent to Registration@FamilyBehavioralHealthClinic.com or faxed to 847-390-3016:
- Alcohol and Drug Evaluation Report
- Current Driver’s Abstract
- The Statutory Summary Suspension(s) and /or Law Enforcement Sworn Report
- Proof of Indigence (if applicable)
